Nigerian musician Iyanya has revealed the reason why he got a tattoo of ex-girlfriend Yvonne Nelson’s name at the time they were dating.
In an interview on GHOne TV the singer said that they had a beautiful relationship, one he felt was not only serious but could also stand the test of time.
Iyanya stated that he had envisioned a future with Yvonne Nelson noting “I believed she was the one…that's why I got a tattoo of her name on my arm.
He called their relationship beautiful. “We had a serious relationship. She was my girl, and our connection was truly remarkable. When you're with her, it becomes addictive.”
Following their break up, Iyanya said he got the tattoo covered up.
Iyanya and Yvonne Nelson's relationship was brought back into the public domain, nearly a decade later, after the actress released a memoir.
In the book, the actress had accused him of cheating on her with Nigerian colleague actress Tonto Dikeh.

“I took to Twitter to rant and vent. Tonto Dikeh responded on Twitter, saying people change and so did feelings, so I should move on. I later heard more stories about what Iyanya did with some of his female crew members,” Yvonne wrote.
Meanwhile, although Iyanya may have been tempted to tell his side of the story, he recently, in an interview, refused to share any details about the actress. She “is a sweet girl," he said.
“I cannot come and share her problems with you…I have not read the book, but I’m sure it is doing well. Everybody is talking about it,” Iyanya noted.
