The Zongo & Inner-Cities Development Secretariat (ZICDS) under the Office of the President is calling for action on youth unemployment in Ghana's Zongo and Inner-Cities Communities.
According to the Presidential Coordinator of ZICDS, Ben Abdallah Banda, "Youth unemployment is a significant challenge in our communities, and we need to work together to address it."
The ZICDS under the Office of the President is partnering with local businesses and organisations to provide training and job placement opportunities for young people in the Zongo and Inner-Cities Communities.
The aim is to empower young people to create for themselves economic opportunities and contribute to the development of their communities.
As one young person in the Zongo community at the Forum noted, "We need more support to develop our skills and find meaningful work. It's not easy to find jobs in our communities, and we need more initiatives like this to give us a chance."
Through partnerships with local stakeholders and global allies, they hope to create meaningful change and empower the people who live and work in these communities.
This he made known at the MIG Business Forum (2023 volume one) on the theme "Avenues to Manoeuver during and economic downturn.
The second edition of the MIG Business Forum will focus on the theme "Scaling Entrepreneurial Success through Collaboration and Sustainability" scheduled to take place at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC) on Monday August 7, 2023.
The next edition will focus on building upon the success of the first edition and emphasising the importance of collaboration and sustainability in entrepreneurship. The theme reflects the commitment of Maxwell Investments Group and the Zongo & Inner Cities Development Secretariat (ZICDS) to fostering a supportive ecosystem that empowers the current and the next generation of entrepreneurs to create lasting change and drive economic growth.
By highlighting the need for cooperative efforts and sustainable practices, the MIG Business Forum aims to encourage entrepreneurs to work together, share resources, and embrace eco-friendly business models for the benefit of the entire community.
