The Zeinab Aida Foundation celebrated the birthday of Tamale North Member of Parliament, Alhassan Suhuyini, by conducting a free health screening and funding the registration of 400 residents onto the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) in the constituency.
The event aimed to provide essential healthcare services to under-served communities while celebrating Suhuyini's dedication to improving the lives of his constituents.
Hundreds of residents from various parts of Tamale North benefited from the health screening, which included checks for blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and other basic medical evaluations.
The foundation also collaborated with local health professionals to offer advice on managing chronic illnesses and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
As part of the initiative, the foundation sponsored the registration of 400 individuals onto the NHIS, ensuring that these residents would have access to affordable healthcare.
This gesture was seen as a significant contribution to enhancing the well-being of vulnerable members of the community.
Alhassan Suhuyini, whose birthday was the occasion for the event, expressed his gratitude in a Facebook post to the Zeinab Aida Foundation for its continued support and commitment to the welfare of his constituents.
He emphasised the importance of healthcare access and urged other organizations to emulate the foundation’s efforts in addressing the healthcare needs of under-served populations.
The event was widely appreciated by the residents, many of whom expressed their gratitude for the free services and the opportunity to register for health insurance.
