The Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV, has urged young entrepreneurs to aspire for excellence in a bid to succeed in their endeavors.
According to him, succeeding in the entrepreneurial world does come easy, but with determination, perseverance, hard work, and humility, the desired objectives would be achieved.
He was speaking at the launch of Heart of Gold Foundation, a philantropic organisation in the Volta Regional capital of Ho.
He advised that "mental efforts and creativity" should not be underestimated if one wants to succeed in the entrepreneurial world.
Togbe Afede also implored traditional authorities to support and play pivotal roles in any development initiative that would be undertaken by their subjects.
“It is our [Chiefs] mandate to bring development to our areas, so if an indigene introduces a development initiative, we must support it”, he said.
The Foundation would also undertake projects in women empowerment, education, health, and livelihood support.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Heart of Gold Foundation, Christine Edem Tsekumah, said she decided to establish the foundation to give back to society.
This, she said is in appreciation of the support the Ho-Bankoe community gave her when she represented Ghana at the 2017 Ghana’s Most Beautiful contest.
She explained that the Foundation aims to undertake programmes for widows, the underprivileged and needy children.
“We would also undertake projects in women empowerment, education, health, and livelihood support”, she added.
