Who is going to lead Ghana into the new age of electricity during this global energy transformation and electrification of transportation industry?
From the steam engines floating the oceans to explore the world to jet fuel engines soaring the skies for global reach, and to the new age of electrical engines powering the global economy. This is the new world order.
The world is moving away from fossil fuel to zero carbon emissions or clean energy. In the near future many vehicles will be charged the same way phones are charged at home. Due to electrification of transportation and industry.
There are already EVs (Electric Vehicles) on the roads of Ghana such as Tesla and other different makes. As a nation are we prepared for the increasing demand on our national grid in the future when many vehicles, phones, lightings, appliances and everything are plugged in?
Since it’s fully electric, you have to plug in electrical vehicle to charge it. You can either charge it at home in a regular outlet, which will take longer to charge or install a special outlet with higher voltage. Or, while you’re on the road, you can find a commercial EV fast-charging station that can replenish a battery to 80 percent within 30 - 60 minutes.
What is the national energy plan by any of our leaders as the world transition into the age of electricity and electrification of transportation and industry in the coming years.
Many western countries and high tech companies such as Microsoft, Google and Amazon are massively investing in renewable energy and nuclear energy amid AI (Artificial Intelligence) boom and the increasing demand of electricity for data centre, EVs and industries.
