Defending champions of the Ghana Women’s Premier League, Hasaacas Ladies kicked off their 2021/22 season with an emphatic win over LadyStrikers on Monday.
The Hasmal Ladies, who hosted the Strikers at the Gyandu Park, cruised to 3-0 victory over the Cape-Coast side, in the opening fixture in what was a repeat of the WPL Super Cup final.
Success Ameyaa scored twice after Rahama Jafaru put the defending champions in front.
At the Madina Astro Turf, Berry Ladies were 4-0 winners over Army Ladies in their first game of the campaign.
Sophia Agyaakwa (2 goals), Thelma Baffour Atuah and Constance Agyemang got the goals for Berry Ladies in the encounter.
Immigration Ladies and Police Ladies played out a 1-1 draw while Sea Lions lost at home to Faith Ladies by a lone goal.
Earlier on Friday, Thunder Queens and Soccer Intellectual Ladies were involved in a 0-0 stalemate in the Southern Zone’s first fixture.
