Some workers of the Metro Mass Transit (MMT) are planning a nationwide demonstration against their management.
They claim there is mismanagement, and corruption is rife among senior management of the company.
The workers also claim they are being victimized by management for complaining about poor working conditions.
The MMT is a government run transport service.
The company has been affected by a series of strikes, with the most recent happening three days ago in the Ashanti region.
The workers say they are paying dearly for speaking out against the mismanagement of the company.
Several workers in the Greater Accra office of the bus company tell Joy News they have received queries and suspension letters for their roles in a demonstration three months ago.
The management is accusing them of disrupting operations and causing a loss of ¢14 million to the company.
It is not clear yet how many people have been suspended but sources say the figure is over one hundred.
The workers want President Kufuor to intervene to save the company from collapsing.
One of the suspended workers, Mr. Jeffrey Ayim is calling for the audited accounts of the company to be made public for all to see.
He said, workers of the MMT all over the country are in support of the move.
