A woman, Roberta Hammond, was on Tuesday afternoon robbed at gun point at a residence in Labone, opposite the Osu Children’s home
Ms Hammond, 36, had paid a visit to her friend in Labone and was just about to enter the said residence when the robbers pounced on her.
The robbers who were four in number and armed with guns and machetes made away with an amount of GH¢150.00, two mobile phones, and a car key.
Speaking to myjoyonline after the incident, Ms Hammond said on opening the door of her Black Jetta, one of the robbers pounced on her with his machete on her neck, with another pointing a gun right at her.
According to her, the robbers demanded that she hands over her car, but her continuous shouts attracted people within and around the house.
Sensing danger, the robbers run into a packed KIA taxi in the middle of the road with her belongings.
The visibly terrified lady said the robbery took place around 17:30 GMT.
According to her, the robbers might have been attracted by a FOR SALE inscription on her Black Jetta and had been trailing her before she got to the venue of the incident.
There were however no casualties.
