Editor in Chief of The Crusading Guide newspaper Kwaku Baako, has lashed out at Black stars attacker, KP Boateng for his alleged criticism of coach Kwesi Appiah in the wake of Ghana's 2-1 defeat to the United States of America.
“Who the hell does he think he is?, he charged, adding, "It is wrong, I don’t see the reason why he should do that thing, that is not your business," he pointed out.
KP Boateng was quoted to have made the following comment: “You’re supposed to start with your best 11, but maybe the coach had a different idea”.
But Kwaku Baako was livid in his reaction to the remarks allegedly made by the former AC Milan midfielder.
Speaking on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo on Wednesday, the Editor in Chief insisted the skimmer has no role in the selection of players and has no basis to question the selection by the coach .
Despite his criticisms, the editor also declared his admiration for KP Boateng.
“In the name of discipline he should respect but I admire him and I think he is good”, he added.
He reiterated that such comments will resurrect egos within the players which will further break the unity that bonds the team.
Despite reprimanding the skimmer, he still believes that the team will qualify for the next stage of the competition.
The Stars will on Saturday face Germany and later Portugal in the remaining group G clashes.
