So, who replaces the injured Baba Rahman in Ghana's left back role?
The Schalke defender is out of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations tournament after he was diagnosed with bruised meniscus in hospital in Libreville. He's on his way to Germany for treatment after getting the injury against Uganda on Tuesday.
Mali will be the Black Stars next opposition on Saturday, and Avram Grant has to get a replacement for the former Chelsea man. In the game against the Cranes, the choice of Frank Acheampong to sub Rahman proved not to be inspired, as he was unable to keep a firm hold on things.
The Anderlecht man, Acheampong, is not new to that position but he tends to be extremely attacking minded when he features for his side in domestic and European competitions. What inures in his favour is range of passing, with a knack for long, incisive balls that can start attacks from anywhere on the field.
Then there is Barnsley's Andy Yiadom. Having done well in that position in the English Championship, Grant may consider him a bit of wild card and he is no slouch. He has been proficient for his team at both left and right back positions and is solid defensively.

Finally, debutant Ebenezer Ofori. Grant named him among his offensive midfielders for this Afcon, but has been known to play a full back.
