The Paramount Chief of Tepa Traditional Area, Dr Nana Adusei Atwenewa, has pledged his support and that of his people to a government that delivers on its promises, saying they cannot hold back their support from the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), particularly one of their own, Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, whom he described as results-oriented.
He equally pledged that they will support the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Ahafo Ano North Constituency and Director-General for the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Nana Agyeman Prempeh, for spearheading many developmental projects in the constituency.
“You are one of our own and a Royal. We cannot reject you, especially because you have delivered. Tepa will support you and Dr Bawumia to continue to deliver. We will also support Nana Agyeman Prempeh for spearheading many developmental projects within Tepa and its environs”, the revered traditional ruler observed.
The Tepamanhene made these remarks at a meeting of the Tepa Traditional Council with the NPP vice presidential candidate, Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, and his campaign team, on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.
The meeting was also attended by Imams, Zongo Chiefs, members of the Clergy and leaders of various Identifiable groups.
After the meeting, the NPP Running Mate proceeded to the Tapa SHS, where he inspected the construction of an ultramodern library facility solely funded by the parliamentary candidate, Nana Agyeman Prempeh.
He addressed students of the Tepa SHS, Maaban SHS, and Tepa Nursing and Midwifery College, reminding them of the achievements of the NPP particularly in the area of education. He also addressed a rally at the Tepa Lorry Station.
Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh ended his day, taking his constituency-focused campaign tours to the Ahafo Ano South East and the Ahafo Ano South West Constituencies where he held a series of campaign engagements with the chiefs and people of Abesewa, Ahwerewam, Sabronum, Adugyama and Mankranso.
He rallied support for the NPP Presidential Candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and the respective parliamentary candidates, Frederick Acheampong and Elvis Dapaah.
