Talent TAHUF Foundation, formerly known as Talent Hunt Foundation, in partnership with the Ketu South Ghana Education Service Directorate, is set to host the second edition of its regional technology fair in the Volta Region.
The Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and youth-focused NGO hopes to facilitate the transfer of practical knowledge in areas of Robotics, 3D Printing/Modelling, Electronics, Website Development, App Development, Scratch and Internet of Things at the far.
The fair is expected to pique participants’ interest in technology and inspire them to culminate into lots of technology-related careers and entrepreneurship drives.
Scheduled for September 25th to 27th, the fair will be hosted at the St Paul’s Senior High School (SPACO), Hatsukope and is expected to draw participation from over 50 schools in the region with participation from several tech companies in Ghana.
As part of the 2019 activities, leading technology organisations such as Kumasi Hive, Practical Education Network, Soronko Academy, Africa Internship Academy, Talents in Africa, IOT Network and Jakpadie Equity Fund will be undertaking various training and experiential sessions at the fair to give them the basic foundation for exploits in technology-based careers and entrepreneurship.
According to the CEO of Talent TAHUF Foundation, Mawufemor Kofi Folivi, who also doubles as Assemblyman for Agbozume North, the fair has become a great avenue to expose young people to the benefits in Technology and how they can take advantage of the opportunities that are accompanied with various careers in technology.
The fair is also being supported by Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, Ketu South Member of Parliament, Avance Media and Holy FM.
