A Director of Volta Rangers Football Club is optimistic his team would make an impact in their maiden campaign in the National Division One League.
Jonathan Ahiekpor believes that his squad is poised to make an impact in the Division One, waiting to progress and eventually qualifying into the Premier League.
He shares hope in the youthful exuberance of his team, believing his boys can take on any Division One side.
“Like any team that has qualified into Division One, you need to revamp your squad strength and that is also underway.” he said in an interview with myjoyonline.com.
Mr. Ahiekpor detailed that the Management is ready to meet the financial demands in their campaign, but would accept support from any individual or institution.
He lauded the efforts of his players in qualifying thereby satisfying a long desire of Ho residents.
“We are so delighted to be the people who have brought Division One back to Ho. The people of Ho have been hungry for this feat for a very long time. I am thankful that the boys have done us the honours.
Football is not sustainable without the business side, so we are also looking at the business angle of football”, he concluded.
Volta Rangers FC who were debutants in the 2020/2021 Volta Region Division Two league, qualified to the middle league but were eliminated at the semis.
