Virtual Security Africa (VSA) a digital surveillance company in Ghana has introduced two new security products onto the Ghanaian market.
The Real-Time Fleet Management (RTFM) and the Visual Security Integration (VSI) are the new products the company has added to its array of security products already receiving massive patronage on the Ghanaian market as well as other countries in the Sub-Region.
Speaking in a telephone interview with Myjoyonline.com over the weekend, the Chief Executive Officer of VSA, Mr. Emmanuel S. Asiedu explained that the Real-Time Fleet Management is a worldwide all-satellite asset tracking, monitoring and mobile resource management system.
It uses Global Position System (GPS) which is a space-based global navigation satellite system that provides reliable location and real-time information in all weather and at all times and anywhere on or near the Earth and communicates the exact location of asset, direction and speed information as well as asset performance data in the case of mobile assets like, vehicles and vessels for complete assets management.
“With RTFM, fleet information is delivered from asset via satellite, ensuring data delivery without need for cell towers and regardless of land geography,” the CEO added.
He said data delivered is received, stored and analyzed at the RTFM network operations center and is accessed from the RTFM hosted application called the fleet central.
“This system is just exceptional, it has an inbuilt intelligent modem that detects landmarks, level of speed, boundaries within which an asset is supposed to operate and this is critical for safety, security and high value fleet management requirements,” the CEO emphasized.
Mr. Asiedu said the RTFM has proven reliable all over the world and can be deployed in areas like; service and delivery, trailer and container, transportation and oil and gas. Others areas he mentioned included; construction, mining, bus and motor coach, government, military, marine and offshore.
The Visual Security Integration system, he explained is an “all in one” flexible and versatile security system that integrates access control, alarm, video surveillance, time and attendance and central control or monitoring, into one platform security system.
“Instead of having stand-alone security systems, which is costly and cumbersome to monitor, with the VSI, you save money and time as everything is being monitored on a single platform,” Mr. Asiedu added.
According him, the VSI provides two audio communications through Internet and can be used as a communication tool between an organization’s headquarters and its branch offices.
“The VSI provides true facility protection, surveillance and multiple sites remote monitoring capabilities and this allows facility managers to monitor all operations anytime and anywhere via an internet electronic browser or cell phone,” he said.
The VSI Visual Physical Security Integration system, which is the first of its kind in the country and the Sub-Region, can be deployed in Banks, University campuses, Warehouses, Airports, and Apartment Buildings.
The Marketing and Public Affairs Manager of Virtual Security Africa, Mr. Abdulai Abdul-Rahaman said the company would continue to introduce cutting edge digital surveillance security systems in the country to properly secure the country’s facilities for effective business transactions.
“We would continue to listen to our clients and provide custom-designed products and services tailored to their specific needs,” he said, adding, “we are building a reputation of being a customer focused and friendly organization and that we will continue to pursue with all alacrity.”
He said the company has also introduced a four camera unit Close Circuit Television (CCTV) security systems for homes and small business. He said the system, which comes with one terabyte storage capacity enables home and property owners to monitor what goes on in their facilities even when they are away from their facilities via an IE Browser or Cell phone.
Mr. Abdul-Rahaman said Virtual Security Africa would soon organize a nation-wide workshop to sensitize Ghanaians on the need to be security conscious by properly securing their facilities with easy to use security systems.
