Nothing will stop a 6-year-old girl with cerebral palsy from going to school, not even her defective arms that cannot write. Beryl Kordai Addy's hope is in her toes as she powers the tiny-looking parts to draw and write. Joy News' Beryl Ernestina Richter found her in class in a mainstream school at La where she has lessons with all the other pupils. Her mother Sussana Patterson remains a towering figure and support and the effectiveness of her love is helping Beryl overcome the defectiveness in her arms and muscles. Mrs. Patterson has not stopped believing in her daughter's abilities as she gripped a pencil to the admiration of her teachers. She remains hopeful of a brighter future for her daughter despite her disability, a pilot is what she dreams Beryl becomes. In the type of society we live in, one would describe this as ‘crazy faith’, but Sussana remains unperturbed by Beryl’s condition.
