Mr. Joseph Denteh, Nkwanta District Chief Executive (DCE) who said this at the Second Ordinary Meeting of the Assembly at Nkwanta also hinted that such pupils would also be fined.
He was responding to concerns raised by Madam Christiana Ndabiwah, Headmistress of Nkwanta L/A A and B Primary Schools about the disturbing trend of truancy among pupils in the area.
Mr. Denteh said the Assembly would task the Police to investigate the issue to bring the culprits to book.
