Avram Grant handed debuts to Enoch Adu Kofi and Gilbert Koomson.

Ghana's starting XI was unusual, as JoySports Benedict Owusu reports from Durban. In this Skype interview, Owusu and Jerome Otchere (editor, Kotoko Express) assess the team and also look at how Ghana aimed to use this game to prep for next month's qualifier against Egypt. The interview was done shortly before kickoff on The Pulse on the JoyNews channel.
