Fans of the Turkish soccer club Eskisehirspor set their own stadium on fire after the team was relegated on the final day of the season.
Following the club’s 2–1 loss to Medipol Basaksehir, fans tore apart the stadium, lighting bleachers and billboards on fire in the stands and on the field.
According to reports, three people were injured during the incident.
Eskisehirspor was relegated from the top division on Saturday, ending a poor season in which the team won just eight of its 33 matches.
The club is planning to move to a new stadium for next season and Eskisehir Ataturk Stadium is set to be demolished. Local media reported that the stadium had been vandalized before the fires started.

Jerry Akaminko signed for Eskisehirspor in 2012 for 1.35 million Euros and started his career well with them.
He was so good that Black Stars handlers co-opted him into the 2013 Afcon in South Africa. A year later, he was part of the Black Stars team set to be at the 2014 World Cup. But a day before Kwesi Appiah named his squad, a horrible ankle injury in a friendly with Holland crashed his dreams.
It took more than a year for him to recover, during which time he missed the whole season for the Turkish side as he was in rehab. The 27 year old finally had his deal terminated in January despite having two years left on it as he was contracted to Eskisehirspor until June 2018.
Since his injury problems, the team has struggled defensively and have been generally poor, which has contributed heavily to their relegation.
