Self-acclaimed Dancehall King, Shatta Wale, has disclosed that before he rejoins the awards scheme.
During an interview with Don One on U Sey Weytin, he disclosed that before he will get involved in the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, the board will have to come and have a sit-down conversation to find a proper solution to his exit from the VGMA.
“I feel because they are the ones organizing it, there should be a nice approach to me, ‘Shatta, we want to sit down with you and let you know we are ready with our nomination’ because I have a lot of things I’m doing with my music and business.
“So, at least, they should find somebody from their office to say ‘oh Shatta, are you interested to join this time around, we would like you to come on board, and it will be beautiful’.”
The ‘My Level’ singer was suspended from the awards scheme after an incident occurred on the stage of the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, where he had a brawl with another dancehall artist, Stonebwoy, after that the duo was sent to court and both were suspended from the award scheme for a couple of years.
Stonebwoy however has rejoined the awards scheme, where he performed at the 23rd edition of the VGMA’s.
Shatta wale also said: “I don’t know why VGMA is behaving like the beef we have cannot be settled.”
He also added that he has no enemy on the VGMA board so it should be easy for them to reconcile.
