Ghana's veteran female boxer Yarkor Chavez is set to make a return to the ring in a post-Covid-19 bout against Diana Tursi of Switzerland, at the Trust Sports Emporium, at Bukom, in Accra.
The bout under the auspices of Dons Promotions in collaboration with the Pro Fighting Factory Promotions would serve as a post-Covid-19 package for boxing fans, according to the organisers.
According to representatives of Pro Fighting Factory (PFF), plans reached an advanced stage before the coronavirus pandemic, and they had to lock down and re-organise after the pandemic.
Other top male boxers have been scheduled to be part of the post-Covid-19 Championship which starved boxing fans cannot afford to miss.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) has put in place their own safety measures and protocols to avoid the spread of the pandemic, as they await the release by the government on contact sports to start training and competition.
