Pepsodent, Ghana’s leading oral care brand from Unilever, has launched a new product specifically for children. The arrival of Pepsodent Kids toothpaste was announced on Sunday, the 29th of December at the Around the World festival, a vibrant event for families of all sizes and ages.
Available in exciting orange and strawberry flavours, Pepsodent Kids is specially formulated to protect children’s teeth from sugar acid attacks, promoting healthy smiles and building strong foundations for a brighter future.
Launched at the fun-filled event for families, children and parents alike were able to experience the new Pepsodent Kids toothpaste firsthand. Children enjoyed a range of exciting activities, including bouncy castles, face painting, train rides, and live demonstrations on proper brushing techniques led by a friendly mascot. A free dental screening was also provided for all children, reinforcing Pepsodent’s commitment to preventative oral care.
According to Glenn Abraham-Ampomah, Oral Care Innovations Lead at Unilever, “Christmas is a time for sharing joy and creating lasting memories, and what better way to do that than by giving children the gift of a healthy smile? New Pepsodent Kids is designed to make brushing fun and effective, empowering children to take charge of their oral health from a young age.”
New Pepsodent Kids toothpaste contains the optimal level of fluoride (1000ppm) recommended by dental professionals for children, providing effective protection against cavities. Its sugar acid protection formula helps neutralise the harmful acids produced by sugary foods and drinks, which are often consumed in higher quantities during festive periods.
Vera Boadu, Unilever Marketing Manager, Oral Care Africa, said, “We understand the importance of establishing good oral hygiene habits early in life. New Pepsodent Kids not only protects children’s teeth but also encourages them to develop a positive relationship with brushing, setting them up for a lifetime of healthy smiles.”
The launch of Pepsodent Kids toothpaste reinforces Pepsodent’s ongoing commitment to improving oral health across Ghana. By providing children with a fun and effective way to protect their teeth, Pepsodent is helping to build a brighter future for generations to come.
