Tuesday and Wednesday nights are about to get exciting, as live UEFA Champions League commentary in English returns to Joy FM for the next three seasons.
In partnership with Multichoice Ghana, starting Tuesday, February 22, 2022, the best of European football is back on channels of the Multimedia Group.
Managing Director of Multichoice Ghana, Alex Okyere, expressed his excitement at the development when the announcement was made on the Joy Super Morning Show.
"We are very thrilled to get this going for our cherished audiences because over the years, the partnership with the Multimedia Group and Joy FM, in particular, has been great. I'm excited to say this arrangement will be on for the rest of this 2021/22 season, 2022/23 and 2024/25."
With DStv beaming the matches on television, Joy FM commentary is a sure way to complement the world-class coverage expected from Europe's premier club competition.
On his part, Joy Sports editor, Gary Al-Smith, pledged the team's commitment to bringing all the excitement to listeners.
"Joy FM is known to give the best descriptive commentary out there and we are happy that for the next three seasons, we can have more of this right from the group stages to the final."
Beginning with the game between reigning European champions, Chelsea, against Lille on Tuesday, all the way to the final on May 28, get all the action live on Joy 99.7FM.
With exclusive radio rights throughout the territory of Ghana given to the Multimedia Group for the next three seasons, all other stations outside the Group doing so will be committing an illegality.
