Atletico Madrid, who earned qualification to the knockout stages after victory over Porto will go head-to-head with Bayern Munich.
Elsewhere, Manchester City have been paired with Spanish side, Villarreal and Chelsea will look to defend their title with a tie against Lille.
With 13 titles under their belt, Real Madrid will target an addition to their European collection when they face Benfica.
Dutch champions Ajax have a tricky battle against Inter Milan in the next round round while Juventus will set their sight on progressing to the quarter final stage of the competition but will first have to overcome Sporting CP.
