This year’s edition of the annual lecture held in commemoration of the late former President John Evans Atta Mills has been put on hold until further notice.
The event which was set to be organised by the University Of CapeCoast (UCC) won’t come off due to the current limitations on public gathering amid the spread of Covid-19.
In a press release signed by the Deputy Registrar, Retired Major Kofi Boah-Bentum, the University apologised for any inconvenience caused by the development.
“We assure the general public that the ceremony will be activated as soon as things normalize” the statement said.
The hosting duties of the series of lectures alternate between Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and UCC.
Atta Mills died on July 24, 2012, while he was head of state of Ghana. A library was built in the late president’s honour.
