A round-up of Monday's FIFA U20 World Cup Group matches.
Nigeria 2-4 Brazil
After an exciting first half that ended 2-2, the young Brazilians seized the initiative against the Flying Eagles of Nigeria, as they scored two unanswered second half goals to run out 4-2 victors. Judivan scored a brace for Brazil, and Gabriel Jesus and Boschilla scored one each, while Isaac Success and Musa Yahaya scored for Nigeria.
Germany 8-1 Fiji
A hat-trick from Hany Mukhtar, and a brace from Niklas Stark were the highlights as the young Germans hammered minnows Fiji 8-1 on Monday in their opening U20 World Cup fixture. Grischa Promel, Marc Stendera and Marvin Stefeniak scored the other German goals. Iosefo Verevou scored Fiji's consolation goal.
Korea DPR 1-5 Hungary
Hungary made light work of Korea DPR as they ran out 5-1 winners in their opening match. Bence Mervo scored a deserved hat-trick for the Hungarians, while Zsolt Kalmar and David Forgacs also got one each. Ju-Song Choe scored Korea's solitary goal.
Uzbekistan 3-4 Honduras
Honduras held out for a 4-3 win against Uzbekistan, thanks to goals from Jhow Benavidez and Kevin Alvarez and a brace by Bryan Rochez. Dostonbek Khamdamov, Eldor Shomurodov and Zabikhillo Urinboev scored for Uzbekistan.
