Black Starlets head coach Paa Kwesi Fabin is hopeful of a win in their second group game of the U-17 FIFA World Cup against the United States of America today.
Ghana could be the first team to secure qualification to the Round of 16 if they stop USA at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.
Fabin's charges made a winning start last Friday, beating Colombia 1-0 thanks to a first half strike by Right to Dream Academy product Ibrahim Sadiq.
It was a spirited performance by the Starlets but the tactician expressed dissatisfaction about the team's poor scoring form and want that to change against the Yanks.
"Even though we won, I wasn't satisfied with the victory because I feel they could have scored more than one goal", coach Cabin stated in a post-match interview.
"Goal scoring is the exercise the team practiced more often but this is the Under-17 level so we have to keep working at it and when it clicks the goal will flow".
The former Heart of Lions gaffer was confident his team would improve after each game, particularly against the USA where they intend to play with all seriousness.
"We will take the next game like we are playing our first game because we know victory would take us to the next stage"
‘’I must map out some strategy to defeat them and we will definitely fight to get the three points.’’
Ghana has an enviable record against the CONCACAF champions, beating them in their two previous clashes, but USA will fancy their chances given their impressive 3-0 victory over host India.
