Youngster Eric Ayiah was undoubtedly the hero with a brace as the Starlets put one foot in the continental showpiece in Madagascar next year.
Things did not going according to script when the Burkinabe took a surprise lead against the run of play but two quick goals from
Emmanuel Opoku and Eric Ayiah put Ghana ahead at the recess.
Eric Ayiah doubled his tally by fetching the third goal minutes after the restart before Isaac Antah capitalized on a defensive blunder to make it 4-1 for the Ghana.
Nathaniel Opoku put the gloss on the score line with few minutes to go wrap up a good day at the office for Paa Kwesi Fabin’s charges.
The return leg is scheduled for a fortnight’s time.
