Two traders have been remanded by a magistrate's court at Mankranso for fighting in public, resisting arrest and cursing the police at Potrikrom in the Ahafo-Ano South District.
Yaa Asantewaa, 27 and Yaa Pokuaah, 24, pleaded guilty and will reappear on June 12, for sentence.
Prosecuting, Police Inspector Abraham Agyei Mensah told the court presided over by Mr Frank Owusu-Afriyie that on June 1 this year, Police Constable Stephen Appiah and Mabel Anaafi went to arrest the two for fighting in public.
He said during the arrest Asantewaa resisted and cursed constable Anaafi that the "Antoa" god should kill her for venturing to arrest her.
Antoa is thought to be a powerful Akan deity capable of visiting various punishments on victims upon whom it is invoked.
