On Wednesday night, two PSG supporters were stabbed close to the Camp Nou stadium. One of the victims is still in Barcelona's Hospital Clínic with a chest injury, while the other has been released.
The first incident took place at around eleven o'clock near the Camp Nou. A French citizen coming away from the game was attacked in Calle Felipe de Paz by two individuals dressed in dark clothes and balaclavas. One of them stabbed the fan with a knife.
The victim, who was at the time accompanied by other PSG fans, had to be rushed to a nearby hospital. He is still being cared for.
A little later in the evening and not far from the first attack, a similar assault occurred in Barcelona's Avenida Madrid. Three youngsters, who had also recently just seen the match, were set upon by various individuals.
One of the victims was wounded with a knife and also had to be taken to hospital. After his injury was treated, he was released.
Police investigators are analysing security camera footage taken in the area in the hope that the authors of these two serious crimes may be identified and apprehended.
