Dream Africa Volunteer Services (DAVS), a Community based Organisation in Ho has donated teaching and learning materials worth six hundred thousand Ghana Cedis to two kindergartens in Ho.
The donation which was to help offer quality educational foundation for children in the schools was co-sponsored by volunteers from abroad.
Prince Arkoh Clayman, Chief Executive Officer of DAVS presenting the items expressed disappointment about the state of most kindergartens in the country, especially public ones.
He observed that they lack teaching and learning materials thus were unable to give good educational foundation to the children.
Mr. Clayman stated that the situation accounted for the many " half baked literate" in the country and called on other non-governmental organizations to support the government to solve the problem.
Nana Kwasi Akordor, Planning and Development Officer of the DAVS encouraged other benevolent organizations to consider investing in the education of children, adding that, their efforts and sacrifices would not be in vain.
" Let's all build churches in our hearts as we support children of school-going age to achieve their aims", he said.
Apostle Eyram Amexoasi, proprietor of the Royal Academy Day Care Centre, one of the beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the DAVS for the vision and foresight.
He said his school aims at bringing up children in a way that, if they grew up they would not depart from good virtues and gave the assurance that the items would be put to good use.
Apostle Amexoasi urged the DAVS not to relent in its good work but continue to serve as care givers for children in the Municipality to ensure the holistic development of young people in the area.
