Police and military personnel have cordoned off a section of Bawku and are arresting several youth in the area, Joy News has learnt.
This follows the deaths of two persons over Thursday and Friday. A shooting incident Thursday night left one person dead and two others severely wounded. The body of another man was discovered Friday morning.
In the first incident, the deceased, a 26-year-old man identified as Ganim Basnereh, was reportedly coming out of his house when he was shot by some unidentified persons.
The second man whose body was found Friday morning bears a bullet wound on his body, witnesses said.
A cousin of Basnereh, Awudu Razak, accused certain persons in government of stoking the violence.
He also blamed the military of failing to take action after the assailants had shot the deceased.
