The Advertising Association of Ghana says it is finalising documents to build a training institute.
The school will apart from refining the skills of the current agencies, offer training for would-be advertisers and advertising agents.
President of the AAG, Mrs Norkor Dua, who was speaking on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show on Thursday, said despite the current level of professionalism in the industry, the association is positioning itself to deliver even more efficient services to clients.
Mrs Dua, who is also the MD of the Lowe Lintas ad agency, dismissed the suggestion that AAG members overly charge their clients. According to her, clients must rather appreciate the drudgery advertising agencies go through to ensure good work is done.
“It’s a people thing and therefore you are paying for my time,” she said, adding: “The client must appreciate a lot goes into what we are providing.”
Mrs Dua indicated that the AAG will continue to produce award-winning works for clients, as well as gain international attraction with the services of its members.
