A heavy downpour in the Upper West Regional which started on Thursday has disrupted traffic flow on the Wa- Nadowli highway.
The Kululu River at Goriyiri is said to have overflown its banks, thereby, flooding the area.
A statement issued by the Assemblyman for the Goriyiri, Nestor Mwinterebo noted that vehicles commuting on the highway were forced to terminate their journey due to the intensity of the disaster.
He also charged drivers using the road to be cautious.
JoyNews' correspondent, Rafiq Salam also reports that passengers have now been left stranded due to the situation.
Meanwhile, the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) and personnel from the security agencies are yet to visit the scene.
