The Trade Fair site would soon be transformed into a modern hub for trade and business. The Ghana Trade Fair Company has initiated the process involving a joint venture of about 5 billion dollars.
This year’s edition of the Ghana International Trade Fair opened last Friday with a call on exhibitors to see it as an opportunity for networking rather than mere sales.
Board Chairman of the Ghana Trade Fair Company, Naval Captain (Rtd) Kodwo Buttah tells Joy Business, plans are underway to transform the trade-fair centre into an Expo-City.
“We are looking at clearing the whole place to the ground and re-constructing it from scratch. But we would start working on the empty land near the roadway and build and it up. Initially we want to do some few hotels, conferencing facilities and shopping facilities. We’re looking eventually the implmentation of project spanning over a period of between 8 to 10 years" he noted.
