Ghana's premier sports video online podcast, Touchline will premiere on television for the first time on Friday 15th January on the Joy News channel on Multitv.
Until now, the show has been a weekly web based show available on Myjoyonline.com, YouTube, Facebook , Twitter and other online portals.
Touchline has run for a year and a half; first appearing online in October 2014. Host, George Addo (Jnr.) is optimistic that TV viewers will love the show as much as viewers online do.
“It is exciting that we are going on TV. It shows how the concept has caught on and has grown by the weeks and months and the production crew can only promise our new audience the best of content in terms of sports and entertainment. We will still be available on online as well so our viewers there won’t be left out,” he said.
The show which is in its second season has three very interesting segments: E-Chat, Sideline and Peep.
E-Chat features personalities whose perspectives on sporting matters were hitherto hidden. They speak out on E-Chat. Many celebrities including Lexis Bill, Obrafour, Efya, Stonebwoy, MzVee and highlife legend Ben Brako have previously been featured.
Peep sees host, George Addo Jnr, take viewers through all the major league fixtures scheduled for the weekend. Fixtures from the Italian, German, Spanish and English leagues are featured on this segment.
Fans are not left out as the last segment Sideline seeks to involve the audience. Fans and viewers have the opportunity to make contributions and inputs on this segment.
Every week, Sideline goes onto the streets to sample public views and opinion on major issues that break in football. This is just to added extra spice to the show.
