English side Tottenham are among a clutch of clubs monitoring Ghana World Cup star Derek Boateng.
The £5m-rated midfielder is having an outstanding season with Spanish side Getafe and previously helped Ghana reach the quarter-finals in South Africa this summer.
Boateng, 27, missed out on moves to Middlesbrough and West Brom in the past but has improved with age and is also attracting strong attention from Sevilla.
Getafe president Angel Torres says Boateng will not leave in January but is keen to cash in during the summer.
Tottenham are also continuing to monitor Karim Benzema’s situation at Real Madrid but fear being priced out of an impending auction.
