Top local Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) will be decorated with awards at the 5th Ghana Industry CEO Awards held on November 18, at the Labadi Beach Hotel, Accra.
The Ghana Industry CEO Awards, dubbed Ghana’s Most Respected CEOs Awards, will be hosted on the theme: ‘Supporting the digitalisation agenda to drive economic growth in Ghana.’
This year’s edition of the awards has introduced the novelty of 'Ghana Titans’ the first-ever set of the most exclusive and outstanding group of business persons.
‘Ghana Titans’ is made up of the most distinguished entrepreneurs, corporate/institutional executives, investors, and captains of commerce in the Ghanaian corporate community.
To ensure exclusivity, about 10 personalities will be conferred with the title ‘Ghana Titans’ this year, and the awards will subsequently be conferred once every five years.
The selection process was the most comprehensive, credible and competitive to date due to the long age of the awards. Based on consequent prestige, the awardees are entitled to adopt ‘Ghana Titan’ as a formal title, which is expected to be widely accepted by corporate colleagues, subordinates, and the public as a whole.
The invitation-only, red carpet buffer gala ceremony will be attended by top-level CEOs, eminent social entrepreneurs, prominent public officials, civil society operators, academics, members of the diplomatic corps, heads/representatives of multinational organizations based in Ghana, and traditional rulers, among others.
The event is the annual flagship awards scheme organized by The Business Executive Limited and its partners.
The prestigious awards are aimed at identifying and publicly recognizing the most accomplished Chief Executives in Ghana across a wide range of sectors. Potential award winners include CEOs of both private and public sector corporations and institutions.
According to the organizers, awardees were selected by the Ghanaian public who first nominated CEOs for shortlisting, following verification of the nominations, and who subsequently voted for the shortlisted nominees, with individuals and entities receiving the highest votes in each category being declared the winners by the scheme’s Jury and Official Validation Partners.
This year’s edition witnessed the entry of over four million nominations, with close to 600 nominees being shortlisted for public voting.
