There has been heavy vehicular traffic at the Alajo intersection of the Nsawam road after a truck carrying tomatoes overturned on the median.
The truck emptied about 60 boxes of tomatoes onto the road and blocked two lanes; one each on both sides of the road.
It is reported that the incident happened around 4 am on Monday, June 20, when the truck bound for the Makola Market failed breaks and run into several vehicles.
“I had a break failure while descending the slope; there were four cars ahead of me - so, I decided to rather slide against the pavement but the truck was not slowing down; that is why I slammed into the median and the truck overturned,” driver of the car recounted to JoyNews’ Manuel Koranteng.

Pictures and videos from the accident scene show the Kia Rhino truck lying sideways on the road.
It also took personnel from the Police Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) to control traffic flow as a result of the accident.

No casualty has been recorded as a result of the incident.
