Accra Great Olympics coach, Tom Strand, says he will lift the playing standard of the Premier League side following his appointment.
The former Medeama SC trainer was officially appointed on Tuesday to take over from player-coach Godwin Attram who has been under intense pressure after a dismal start to their campaign
There has been internal wrangling in the club following the Swede’s appointment with a section of the players training under his orders while the other half trained with Godwin Attram at a different location.
Despite this, Strand is only focused on improving the fortunes of the clun.
“I don’t know too much of Great Olympics but I know they play well but not scoring and that will be my focus.
“What we want is good results as quick as possible but we will take it match after match and from there we can develop the team.
“I think they have a good team and they have done very well and I think they have developed well to be a premier division side.
“What I will bring to the team is experience and develop the tactical situation and develop the attacking side of the team. I believe we can work together with the supporters because we need them to back up the club.
“I hope the supporters will do that for the team and I know we will get the desired results. I hope to survive them in the league by transforming the team.” He added.
Olympics face Liberty Professionals at the Dansoman Park this weekend.
