In a heartwarming act of community support, Anointed Ladies HomeCare in the United Kingdom, a not- for-profit organization and The Triage Centre, has donated a significant number of Zimmer Frame Walkers and adult diapers to older persons in some selected geriatric units of some hospitals in the Greater Accra Region.
This initiative is part of their commitment to attend to the growing needs of some vulnerable aged and enhancing the quality of life whiles recovering in the hospitals with specific respect to walking aids.
The donation ceremonies were held on January 2, 2025.
The exercise had some representatives of The Triage Centre, in charges of both hospitals and the beneficiaries.
According to the CEO of Anointed Ladies Madam Phyllis Danso, “this donation is to highlight the importance of mobility and independence for older persons, many of whom face challenges due to age-related health issues” and she prays she and the donors can help in other areas of Geriatric Health.
Also speaking at the event, President of The Triage Centre, Madam Sarah Nana Yeboah, expressed the company’s dedication to fostering inclusivity and care for the elderly.
“At The Triage Center, we believe that our Global Geriatric Services will go a long way to answer their needs whiles they age," she said.
Today’s initiative is a step towards ensuring that older persons have the resources they need to live with dignity and independence. We are honored to play a role in making a positive impact on their lives,”.
Some of the beneficiaries of the donation specially those at the males and females geriatric units were visibly moved by the gesture as they expressed their gratitude, “These frames will make a world of difference for us. This will help us move around with ease and participate more actively in our daily activities. We are deeply thankful to Anointed Ladies HomeCare and The Triage Center for this thoughtful support.”
The initiative aligns with The Triage Centre’s broader mission to address Global geriatric challenges and support underprivileged aged through targeted interventions.
The company has a history of implementing programs in areas such as mentorship, health training, and sustainable development.
The administrators of the wards commended Anointed Ladies HomeCare and The Triage Centre’s effort, emphasizing the significance of partnerships between private organizations and local hospitals.
The Centre is a digital health centre that offers total care to all those who need it, especially quality mentorship, leadership and global geriatric services.
