Before the arrival of our Lord Jesus Christ, God used the Ark as the symbol of his presence among the Israelites.
He commanded that a Temple should be built for Him, a temple he designed and funded Himself. Jesus, the fulfilment of all the promises and laws of God at the well of Samaria with the woman with multiple partners told the woman that: a time is coming and here and now is the time that true worshipers of the Most High will not pray or worship him on the mountain or in Jerusalem (the Temple) but rather in truth and in spirit.
(Recently, this statement suffered many uppercuts from men of God who are in support of the national cathedral project)
Apostle Paul also told us our body is the Temple of God so we should not use it for sexually immoral acts.
I want to ask you a question, especially those of you who call yourselves feminists and sometimes support every wrong done by a female:
When you wear skinny or leggings as you call it and it is so thin/light that one can virtually see that part of you which is supposed to be hidden, are you being sexually immoral?
I saw a young lady yesterday in Madina and the skinny was such an embarrassment to my eyes! The curvature/contours of her body, to the extent that one could see the details of the depression of her junction!
How will females feel if men should wear similar things especially with no underwear as the ladies usually do, and with our elongated danglings well displayed in front of us, not one or two men but many, seen all around? Won’t you feel embarrassed? If Jesus were physically here, can we dress like that in his presence?
Amazingly, some of us wear these things to the church, usually with some short dress to cover the upper part of the body. Some will wear dresses that expose the deep valley of their cleavage even in church!
Dare complain about it, they will tell you Nyame sum wÉ” akuma mu (we serve God in our heart not with how we dress) but don’t we know the way we dress and even the things we say can cause others to backslide? Why is the female always interested in showing nudity?
It doesn’t matter the level of education, even some female pastors show cleavage in the name of beauty and looking good, for who? Me or Jesus? If you dress like that to preach Jesus to an unbeliever, do you think he/she will take you seriously?
Even your employer will not let you dress like that to work, especially the formal sector, so why do you think your God will be happy with you? Let a Pastor preach about it and you will see all the gender activists up in arms with insults and what have you.
I have not lost sight of the menace of low hanging trousers popularly called Otto Pfister by young men, it is nasty but they think it makes them guys. All in all, the way we dress as Christians matters even though it is not a determinant of holiness it can make weaker members of the body of Christ fall.
As Apostle Paul said in the book of 1Corinthians 8:13; if what I eat (food) causes my brother (sister) to fall, then I will not eat meat (that particular food) lest I make my brother stumble. So I dare say if what we wear cause our brothers and sisters to stumble, then lets dress decently. A word of caution to the Christian is in the bible!
