This weekend’s Match Day 14 round of games in the First Capital Plus Premier League has been dubbed as "Super-Sunday".
Sunday will be full of excitement in Ghana football as the Premier League will see as many as five cagey derbies.
At the Accra Sports Stadium, the biggest rivalry in the capital city will be rekindled when Great Olympics host Hearts of Oak.
The rivalry between the two Accra-clubs dates back to decades ago and this year's match will have an added intensity as the two sides have not faced each other in the Premier League since 2010.
Coming from a crucial away victory in Mali where they beat Djoliba AC 3-1, the Phobians appear to be on the ascendancy and it will be interesting to see if the “Wonder boys” can pull the brakes on them at the Accra Stadium.
A win for 13th placed Great Olympics will see them leapfrog their rivals who are currently 10th with 18 points.
At the Len Clay Stadium, champions Asante Kotoko will travel to Obuasi as guests of New Edubiase in an Asanteman derby.
The last time the two sides met Kotoko emerged winners after beating the home side 2-0 at the Bekwai Park.
However Edubiase will be poised to defeat the Porcupine warriors and move up the League log.
The Western region will see another derby when Hasaacas host Medeama at the Essipon Stadium on Sunday.
In what promises to be a charged match, both sides will be determined to secure the maximum points to confirm their superiority in the region.
A win for Medeama will see them move into the top four while the "do-the-do boys" could gain a massive push up on the table.
The Brong Ahafo region will see two derbies with Aduana plotting to avenge the home defeat they suffered to Bechem United at the Agyemang Badu Park last season.
Aduana have seen a massive improvement from last season's lukewarm performance and are now lying second on the League log while Bechem United will really need the three points to move from the relegation zone.
The second derby will be at the Sunyani Stadium between BA United and Berekum Chelsea.
After winning the appeal on their docked points, fifth placed Chelsea will be determined to win Sunday's game.
However, BA United will hope to repeat their home win over Ashantigold and as they continue the battle to avoid relegation.
In other matches that will be played on "Super Sunday", Ash Gold will travel to Wa as guests of Wa All Stars.
In what promises to be another exhilarating match, All Stars will want to rediscover their home dominance in League matches and hand the table-toppers a defeat at the Wa Stadium.
The Miners on the other hand will want to maintain their lead on the table.
At the Kpando Park, fans are set to be thrilled to entertaining football from Heart of Lions and Liberty Professionals.
Lions who are 7th on the league table will want a win that can take them back into the top four while Edubiase could move out of the bottom three if they manage a win on Sunday.
