Tema Lube Oil Company Limited (TLOC), on Friday donated a Tata Pick-up to the Tema Regional Police Command.
The vehicle, valued at 160 million cedis is to assist the Police in their operations.
Speaking at the function, Mr Richard Adu-Poku, Board Member of TLOC, said the company recognised the important role of the security agencies in the Municipality.
"We are also aware of the logistical constraints under which they operate, and therefore deem it a social responsibility to favourably respond to the appeal to contribute our quota to augment their resources for effective functioning and policing".
Mr David Annang, Tema Municipal Chief Executive, handed over the keys to Mr John Kudalor, Tema Regional Police Commander and thanked TLOC for the gesture.
He expressed the hope that other entities in the Municipality, would make similar donations to enable the security agencies to live up to expectation.
Mr Kudalor assured the donors that the vehicle would be put to good use to ensure peace and stability within the Municipality.
