The Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications (GCT) has enabled free calls to the National Covid-19 response number 112, as well as other emergency service numbers.
This development will enhance communication between the health experts and the citizens who may need the services of health experts to help curb the spread of the invention.

The chamber, in an April 14 press release, revealed it has rolled out a number of other measures including liaising with the Ghana Health Service (GHS) to educate over 30 million customers on the novel coronavirus the pandemic through emergency communications via SMS, Ring Back Tones, social media, among others.
As schools remain closed nationwide to enhance the observance of social distancing protocols in the wake of the coronavirus, the chamber has allowed "free access to over educational online sites, e-learning platforms and libraries (public, private and foreign)."
It is also in the process of providing over 3,000 GB each day to over 240,000 customers for educational purposes.
Ghana's Covid-19 cases count stands at 636 with eight deaths and 17 recoveries.
As part of the mitigation efforts in the mobile industry, the Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications has also announced an ongoing "collaboration with the National Information Technology Authority (NITA) to zero-rate Government of Ghana Smart Workspace Portal to enable workers to work from home."
