President of Techiman City FC Charles Kwadwo Ntim says his players are mentally ready for the start of the league despite the uncertainty hovering around their premier league status.
The Techiman based club is facing demotion after the Ethics Committee found them guilty of bribery and match fixing but they have appealed the ruling and filed for stay of execution.
Charles Ntim revealed in an interview with Joy Sports that all the players are committed to the club’s course despite the challenges.
“My boys are professional players, we have Steven Manu, Issaka Mohammed, Bright Nsiah and players like Baba Mahama who have all tasted the Premier League."
“They are well focused and they have prepared for the premier league."
“When the Premier League commences, you will see that Techiman City are one of the title contenders," he added.
The bank roller of the club added that his players have informed him to do everything within his powes while they do theirs on the field of play.
“We are professional players we would be doing our work in the field of play, you do your work behind the scenes."
Techiman City begin their campaign with a regional derby against Berekum Chelsea.
