The Ghana Road Transport Co-ordinating Council (GRTCC) on Tuesday asked Taxi cab operators to remain calm as it tried to resolve problems facing the embossment exercise.
A statement in Accra signed by the Acting General Secretary of the Council, Mathew Hayford said the Assemblies which embarked on the exercise in the Greater Accra Region had been asked to suspend the process temporarily.
The Council asked all taxi cab operators to go about their normal duties without fear of any arrests.
“The council assures all taxi operators that they would not be arrested by any law enforcing agency,” the statement said, and further asked the drivers to stop any planned action in the interest of the industry and that of the country,
