Tammy Abraham played down the severity of the hip injury that forced him to leave the pitch before half-time during Chelsea's 2-2 draw at Valencia.
The 22-year-old was led away on a stretcher after landing awkwardly on Valencia defender Ezequiel Garay.
He told Chelsea TV: "It's much better than when it happened.
"I was fearful of the worst when it happened but when got into the changing room, I could walk about. I'll have a scan and hopefully it's just bruising."
The England forward has scored 12 goals for club and country this season.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard added: "It looked quite severe at half-time, a strong bang on the hip, but the word after the game is it might not be as severe as we thought. That's all I know."
