Tagoe, Muntari & Kingston return for Ghana to face Bosnia

Germany-based striker Prince Tagoe will return to the Ghana national team next week for the friendly against Bosnia after a nine-month absence. Also returning to the Black Stars are Inter Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari and Scotland-based Laryea Kingston. The trio are part of a 20-man squad named by Serbian coach Milovan Rajevac for the 3 March World Cup warm-up in Sarajevo. The rest of players in the team were part of the squad that excelled at the recent Africa Cup of Nations in Angola. A notable absentee is Opoku Agyemang who has been ruled out of the World Cup because of a hamstring injury. Tagoe has not played for the Black Stars since he helped steer Ghana for their World Cup place after winning their two away matches against Mali and Sudan in June last year. He joined Hoffenheim a month later but a fictitious heart report cast doubt over his playing future before subsequent reports cleared him to continue with his career. Tagoe, who has been one of the top scorers for Ghana, has recovered and has even excelled for Hoffenheim in some of the matches he has played for the Bundesliga side. Midfielder Kingston has not played for the Black Stars for several months as he is hoping to impress coach Rajevac to get his ticket to the World Cup. Muntari, who was axed from the Africa Cup of Nations squad for disciplinary problems, has been recalled after promising to be of good behaviour. Ghana are fine tuning their squad for the World Cup where they face Serbia, Australia and Germany. Goalkeepers: Richard Kingston (Wigan, England), Philemon McCarthy (Hearts), Daniel Agyei (Liberty Professionals) Defender: Samuel Inkoom (Basel, Switzerland), Hans Adu Sarpei (Bayer Leverkusen, Germany), Isaac Vorsah (Hoffenheim, Germany), Eric Addo (Roda JC, Holland), Lee Addy (Bechem Chelsea), Rahim Ayew (Zamalek, Egypt).
