Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kwesi Nyantakyi has described the attack by Black Stars player, Sulley Muntari in such vivid details that are most likely to end the player's international career.

Kwesi Nyantakyi on Wednesday told the Justice Dzamefe Commission that the AC Milan midfielder launched two separate attacks against GFA Management member, Moses Parker.

He first picked up a chair to club him during a meeting and next hurled a glass bottle at the FA member in a room.

It had to take the timely Rambo-style intervention by the GFA President to hold the chair Sulley had swung behind him ready to throw and to later block the glass bottle with his arm while using his body to shield the abused management member.

It was all because of $100,000 appearances fees.

The Black Stars players had, despite meetings with the GFA, become extremely agitated after government officials delayed the payment of appearance fees.

Led by their captain, Asamoah Gyan, the players requested for a meeting with the GFA to discuss the matter.

The management members after agreeing to meet at 10pm, sat and waited for the playing body for one and half hours.

The meeting began with a litany of complaints. The players felt unhappy about the condition of their five star hotel in Miami, USA where they stayed before flying over to Brazil.

They complained about the state of the rooms in their hotel in Natale, Brazil. The issue was addressed.

The players went on to complain about the condition of their airplane, saying the plane was over 50 years old and not suitable for their safety and comfort.

But the straw that broke the camel’s back was the considerable delay of payment of their appearance fees.

Moses Parker incurred Sulley’s wrath after Parker tried to re-assure the players, to take the GFA president’s word that the money was on its way to their camp in Brazil.

“Before we could say jack, he got up from his seat and released one blow. Then the second one was released.  I was surprised. I have never seen this kind of thing before”.

Kwesi Nyantakyi said Sulley warned that “Moses must leave the hotel, otherwise he will follow him wherever he goes”.

Sulley honoured his threat, going down to the reception to get Moses Parker’s room number, 208.

Despite having a Brazilian security guard by the door, the GFA President said, Sulley somehow managed to break into the room.

His first victim was GFA official, Alhaji Lartey followed by Mr. Felix Ansong. Sulley hit Mr. Ansong’s head against the wardrobe and moved in to face Moses Parker, who had been shielded by the GFA President's body.

In a moment of unexplained madness, Sulley aimed the glass at Moses, which was intercepted by GFA President Nyantakyi, who suffered a cut from the glass bottle.

It took the intervention of defender Jonathan Mensah to restrain the 'monstrous' Sulley Muntari.

All this while the security officials and GFA officials were still lying down motionless, explaining their posture as “defensive tactics.”

He said they “defended themselves by lying on the floor. I think it was a defensive tactics”.

Kwesi Nyantayki said Brazilian security officials had wanted to prosecute Sulley Muntari.

“This was a very serious moment for us”, he said.

Sulley has since been suspended from the national team indefinitely.
