A very prestigious profession but there is more to it if you want to embark on that expedition. Make sure you build a personality, confidence, sometimes a little bit of insight will do and a hardworking mentality. Little bit of cash at the bank is also essential.
Key point to note: make sure you have a silver tongue like a double edged sword, very sweet and a convincing one, if you can dialogue a whole community to exercising their franchise seeing you at the frontline of the citizenry, I guess you know what I’m talking about.
Before elections, they (politicians) declare their intentions at the early stage, everyone in the community becomes a friend, 3 years before elections, they try knowing everyone’s name and appears pleasurable to everyone.
Year 2 approaching elections, they try to build one borehole bringing the whole community’s attention to it. Just a year to the polls, they will like to feast with everyone, 3 months to elections they go on a house to house interaction.
Few days to elections we all worship together, a member of all religion. Immediately after elections, coming out as champions, just try visiting them at their homes or offices to say ’hi’, the security will tell you they’ve travelled, woe unto you not calling the name ‘honourable’ then forget your next stopover. This is where you know the pattern has change.

Your voices echoed like you will save thousands, just like one man did- Sir Nicholas Winton organising the rescue of over 665 children on the eve of the Second World War, you rescued no one but your family.
You gave us your word to battle our welfare for the better, but to no avail. The grass root cries for your care, the community lives in discomfort, every morning brings about the struggle to getting the bellies full instead of taught on our country and continent’s future alertness.
After a hot debate, you dine and drink tea together while vulnerable factions fight among themselves all because of survival.
Honestly, some politicians have made positive impact and are still giving their best. They care for their countrymen like family; they share their coinage with everyone.
You have our backing; all we want is a better Ghana and a better Africa
You hold the key to authority; let us feel your influence, we will support you now and the leaders thereafter.
To my fellow compatriots, tomorrow may land you into taking up a leadership mantle, leave a memorable mark and let the unborn generations hear about your great exploits.
Well done all politicians sweating to safeguarding the welfare of the populace, your names will be written in an unforgettable slab. But those doing otherwise, fattening your pockets at the mercy of the penniless, your names will be written at the sea shore for the sea to wash away. No one will remember your name.
This legend is dead and gone, even his birthday is a holiday to us, how do you feel about him. Proud? Because of his hard work and forceful mentality-Dr Kwame Nkrumah. Let us remember you like a legend, let us miss your great works. I will always say, ‘’Yes we can’’; we will build a proud Ghana, a proud Africa.
